Electronic signatures are legal in Belarus, and electronic signatures in Belarus are mainly regulated by the 2009 Law on Electronic Documents and Electronic Digital Signatures.
The signing of an electronic digital signature refers to the procedure of generating an electronic digital signature using a personal key.
To ensure the compliance of Belarus electronic signatures, certified digital signatures must be used. To ensure that electronic signatures meet the requirements of Belarus law, they must be certified by the GosSUOK system.
Electronic signatures can be used in the following scenarios, but are not limited to:
Business agreements between corporate entities.
Confidentiality agreements (NDA)
Procurement documents
Sales agreements
Consumer agreements
Purchase and sale contracts
Electronic signatures cannot be used in the following scenarios:
Documents requiring notarization
Mortgage documents
Agreements related to property transfer
Marriage certificates
